First of all, I disagree with the fact that manning won the award because there were other players that really deserved it like Adrian Peterson, phillip rivers, Kurt Warner, Chad Pennington and a few others. We already know what peyton is capable of because of what he does every year but lets face it.

Without peterson the Vikings dont go to the postseason (and he is the league's rushing leader), without rivers the Chargers dont win 4 straight and a chance to win its division which they did (and he is the league's best rated passer), without pennington the Dolphins stay dead last in the afc east and without warner we wouldnt even be talking about arizona.

I also know that without manning the Colts are next to nothing but he has had better seasons than this one and wasnt named mvp. He is almost a perfect player but he didnt deserve the mvp THIS YEAR.

Neither Drew Brees deserved it.  Many people are still talking about the fact that he lost it and  i think drew brees had an awesome year but he is not a legitimate candidate for mvp. I know he threw for 5000 yards and a lot of tds and for that he is a perfect candidate and maybe the winner of the OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR but not MVP. Why?  Because his team is not in the playoffs. Simple as that. He may be the Saints MVP because if not fot him the saints could have had an awful season (like a 4 -12) but not the league's mvp.

And im not gonna start talking about the probowl because everybody knows thats a joke. I mean, Brett Favre over phillip rivers?? come on...
